What is a Rio membership?
A Rio membership is comprised of a primary member plus a secondary member or guest. At this time, we do not offer single memberships.
The Benefits of Membership
Membership in the Krewe of Rio comes a terrific package of benefits.
1. Two Admissions to the our members-only summer dance party, the Rio Sambada.
2. Two Admissions to the annual Rio Ball in January.
3. Two spots on a float in our annual Rio Parada. Actually, it’s like being a member of a family group within the krewe!
4. Two Admissions to our annual Crawfish Boil
How do I become a member?
How do I become a member?
All potential members must be sponsored by two current krewe members. The names of these members go on your application form. Complete and submit this form to begin the application process.
Once accepted, you will be asked to pay
1. A one-time Initiation Fee of $200 plus
2. An Annual Membership Fee of $500.
Additional expenses in the coming year would be
1. An official float rider costume if you choose to ride
2. Beads and throws if you choose to ride
